Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Non-MS developed Titles

Are there any Non-MS Developed / sponsored titles out yet for the hololens? Not 2d apps which just work, apps developed specially for the Hololens?

There's one in beta by a moderator here. Other than that, I don't think so yet. Since it's only been out in developers hands, and the emulator only helps to an extent, it will be a little bit until there are others I think. My work application is purely internal use only, however, my game I'll release.

  • @filharvey yes there are a few trickling out.
    Some free:

    • Galaxy Shield BETA
    • LSrD
      Some pay:

    • HoloMeasure

    • HoloDice

Expect to see a few more shortly as the Holographic Hackathon participants from various cities start to publish their team projects and devs start to publish betas and works in progress to the store.

  • I wonder what is the release lag from finishing the HoloLens app till Microsoft allows it in the Store (like HoloMeasure)

  • @Figers Once you submit your app, you should be able to monitor the ETA on dev center while the app goes through certification. I've heard ~48 hours, but the time varies.
