Animated file format for Holograms

Hello, I was wondering what animated file types are compatible with the HoloLens? For instance the dancing characters in the example "Holograms" tab for the HoloLens. Are these .x files or .fbx files with animation info? I have several of the same 3D objects at different time points and I wanted to combine to make a 4d model. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!
