Something went wrong error 2181038087-5.

I am trying to set up my VR headset but whenever i plug everything in it just says that something went wrong (like in the title) i have it plugged into the right ports but it still doesnt work. i've tried unplugging and restarting. ive tried reinstalling the device but nothing helps.

  • According to your error, it's likely that Windows Mixed Reality lost synchronization between the Mixed Reality camera frame timestamps and your PC timestamps.

    This could be a transient error, or an indication of USB signal integrity issues. Try to unplug all of your USB devices, remove all extension cables, and plug in just your headset.

  • Having the same issue. I can unplug most things, but am at a loss on how I can get to the screen with the error after unplugging my mouse and keyboard.
