WMR blurry on turning my Head

edited February 2018 in Troubleshooting

I have a Samsung Odyssey HMD headset plugged into my Surface Book 2 with Nvidia GTX 1060 inside.

When I use WMR it often blurs noticeably when I move my head then once I stop turning image refocuses again. This happens inconsistently. Will blur whenever I turn my head for a few minute or so then stop... work correctly again for a few minutes before not working again. Also besides blurring it seems the two eye images become slightly out of sync moving apart and then back together again. The effect is very nauseating and keeping me from enjoying the experience. Would love to fix this so I can use the Olympic app during the games.

As far as I can tell when I turn my head the tracking seems to be correct as the center pointer dot moves correctly.

I wonder if my surface book 2 is going in and out of power saving modes or things like this although I do have my power mode set to best performance.

I've also tried installing latest NVidia drivers and Intel Drivers which didn't help. Also reverted my Surface Book 2 back to factory default and after using only windows update and trying headset again same thing.... I have headset plugged in to my surface using Microsoft's own USB C to HDMI adapter. Happens in cliff house and every other app I've tried. Help.

I don't have any ideas either how to fix.

Feedback Hub is a Microsoft Store app, the download link is here.
Mixed Reality Team can fetch application logs directly by Feedback hub. It is quite helpful for solving your problem. It also lets you provide screenshots. The more info you can give, the better.
