Hi my specs:
i7 3820 3.6 ghz
8gb ram
amd sapphire pulse rx 580 8gb
motherboards gigabyte x79 ud3 (if im not wrong)
trough usbdeview i see that im currently giving 400 mA to the headset
and the gpu got 2 hdmi specifically for vr.
I get disconnections from the hmd and it says to check the cable.
Dont know why.
Im going to buy superhot on the store to see if is only on steam or gaming or wathever.
Disconnects on almost everything.

You may try the steps in the headset black screen troubleshooting flow chart.
