Adding Desktop apps to the windows mixed reality start screen

So ya know how when you push the home button you can scroll through a list of apps or windows to put on the walls of your MR house? I was wondering if anyone knew how to take apps from your regular desktop and add them to that Mixed reality start menu so you can use them in mixed reality.

I have the same problem. its like the windows mixed reality environment, is a completely different OS built within VR. Things that you know how todo in traditional 2d windows OS, does not apply in the windows mixed reality environment. so frustrating. yet again, another Microsoft product, that does not feel maturely developed. :(

The good news is that in the next update to Windows 10 (October 2018 Update / Redstone 5) Steam VR games show up on the start menu.
