how to change the hoverDistance of the TapToPlace script?

Hi, I would like to Change the hoverDistance (distance between object and wall) of the TapToPlace script, but i don't know how to... I have been trying it now for hours but still couldn't figure out how to...
Could someone help me?

    If you're talking about the gaze distance, you control that with DefaultGazeDistance. But if you're talking about how it is placed on the wall, you should look at the GetPlacementPosition method. On the line that says return hitInfo.point you should add your offset there.
