Error DEP0110 when deploying to emulator
I installed VS2015 Update 2 and all the HoloLens SDK tools (Unity, UWP tools, Emulator), but when I try to actually deploy I get the following:
Error DEP0110 : Unable to check remote machine '169.254.xxx.xx' for developer mode. Please verify that the remote tools are installed correctly on the remote machine, and that the correct remote authentication mode is specified in the project debug settings.
I can use the emulator just fine by itself, and when I connect to the emulator status page it says everything is OK. I don't see any way to set the developer mode in the status page or in the device settings itself. Any ideas?

Sorry for the late reply, I ended up having a bunch of issues with bad installs of VS and the Windows SDK.
@WithinRafael I am running the emulator and it looks like that is enabled by default (at least, it is now).
My problem seems to be solved now. I had to go through a few iterations of uninstalling VS and the Windows SDK, but I've finally got an app deploying. I wish I could say I found a solution for others that encounter this problem, but ultimately it looks like a bad install.

If I'm not mistaken, the developer mode is supposed to mean when you compile the debug symbols are present, and the profiler is turned on, meaning slower performance and no security and easier to connect. You can set this in Unity by checking the development build in the Build settings, and also choosing the debug configuration in VS.Net when compiling and deploying to the Hololens Emulator.

@DiegoV thanks, but after trying the steps outlined in those posts, I'm still having the issue
@Dwight_Goins_EE_MVP Unity doesn't seem to have anything to do with it; if I create a blank Direct3D app only in VS it still has the issue.
@bradenb Did you enable Development Mode on the device? Follow these steps if you haven't. https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/holographic/Using_Visual_Studio.html#Enabling_Developer_Mode
