Unity 3D Application development for Hololens

Hi,
We are starting to do an app on Hololens
we have resources with C# experience , bit not on Unity 3D engine
So what would we time required fora developer to ramp up to start developing an app on Hololens .
Developer would be of 2-3 yrs exp in C# and a person who would be quick to learn but with no prior knowledge of Unity 3D

    One thing that you could try that might give you a sense of how quickly your devs will pick up Unity is to have them work through and complete the Holographic Academy sessions.

    They are simple step-by-step tutorials that walk through many of the basics and also act as a decent introduction to working with Unity.

    As for ramping up on Unity there are a lot of great resources available:

    Unity has great learning resources on their site.
    Lynda.com has Unity courseware.
    YouTube has lots of useful stuff.
    Here are two useful series on creative coding in unity.

    But that said, you should also be aware that working in 3D is both powerful and complex and depending on what kind of experience yours devs bring with them, if they lack experience in 3D, graphics and the many related technologies and problem spaces it may be a long curve. If on the other hand they come with a strong multidisciplinary set of analytical, creative and mathematical skill they may take to it like ducks to water.
