Can we use 3D Max Vray softwear to build a model for Hololence?what kind of softwear we need to use?

edited November 2016 in Questions And Answers

Hello,
We do 3D Visual 'rendering' for interior and exterior spaces using many kind of software packages like 3D MAX, V-Ray and another plug-in, we work very close to the architect and interior engineers to deliver this services, actually we need to invest in Hololence technology to start offer this service in our company we need to know if Hololence supporting 3D Max and V-ray software, what kind of training we need to organised for our 3D Visualisers team to be able to design interior and exterior spaces to present to client?

Kind Regards
Murad

If you go the Unity route, which in most cases makes the most sense, you can find information on the 3D file support here.

As you will see, Unity likes .fbx files but can consume a rather wide array of others.

  • V-Ray is purely a rendering solution to my knowledge - ie. to make final 2d images.
It shouldn't have any effect on 3d models exported.
