Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Possible to hide the App Bar?

The app bar takes up a significant percentage of Hololens screen real estate.

As a user, I would love to be able to hide it in order to get a larger view for existing UWP apps, like Terminal apps I use to ssh into servers.

As a developer, I would love to be able to give maximum viewability without my user realizing they can vertically stretch the window.

As a designer and user, the app bar breaks the suspension of disbelief that I am in a virtual world, reminding me always that I am in Windows.

It would always be possible to say, "Hey Cortana, show me the app bar". Is is possible to hide the app bar in any of these situations (i.e. without going to a fully immersive holographic app)?

This is very much needed. The current app bar is enormous. I would prefer an autohide feature that brings the bar back if you perform a specific gesture.

These are all great suggestions and reasons. Please file this feedback with the Feedback Hub application. That is the absolute best way to be sure the product team sees it.
