Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

New version of Holographic Academy Spatial Sound course

We have just published a new version of the Holographic Academy 's Spatial Sound course.

This course covers adding sound to interactions, with Spatial Mapping, guidance for sound design and more.

Listen to the world and bring your experiences to life with sound!

Enjoy!

  • I enjoy the new information added in this version. Especially the points about audio layering and stereo vs positional voice overs. Great work guys!

  • @jbienzms,
    Thank you, sir!

  • Hey Team,

Just tried to take this out for a test drive and the starter project appears to
    be missing some content?

I followed the instructions and they call for selecting objects in the hierarchy. Nothing exists.

  • @HoloTodd,
Please open Decibel.unity from the Scenes folder in the Project panel. That should populate the hierarchy correctly.

I'll make sure the instructions are updated.

Thanks for pointing out this issue!
    David
