Mixed Reality Capture Failing

edited November 2016 in Questions And Answers

I have used vuforia sdk for object detection in hololens app. When I am trying to use mixed reality capture via cortana command or from device portal, It is stopped automatically after vuforia sdk initialized. Is it expected beahviour and also is there any other way to capture video of hololens app which have used vuforia sdk

  • @chirag_icpl,
It sounds like you are encountering the photo/video camera access limitation documented here.

Depending on how the Vuforia SDK uses the cameras (note, I have no experience with Vuforia), you may have success creating a custom MRC recorder.

    Thanks!
    David

  • I'm having the same problem but only with taking pictures.
Have you solved this problem alreay?

  • Anyone have any other work arounds? The whole spectator rig is too involved and does not record first person. Trying to use an external camera to record has been difficult to get the focus correct
