Spectator View - no camera feed in Unity app

Hi,

I followed the spectator view tutorial and was able to successfully calibrate the camera and build the compositor. After copying the dlls, I opened the sample Unity project. When I click play, I can see the hologram, but the camera feed remains black. If I try to take a video on the compositor, the video will have the same problem. However if I take a picture, the hologram AND the background show up - but only when I take a picture.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I'm using the ElGato HD60S capture card to connect my camera. The feed looks fine in the calibration app (from visual studio) and the El Gato's GameCapture program, it just does not work with Unity.

  • Have you already made sure that you don't still have the video stream opened in another application? That's the only thing that comes to mind for which I've seen a similar error.

Hi there, I'm also struggling with the same problem with you, everything looks fine when taking pictures while the compositor window remains to be blank. Taking video would be the same condition as you described.
Imma trying to get the mrpp, my boss is pushing me hard at this..
Did you find any solution to fix this after then? I'm really helpless > <
I hope you have managed dealing with it.

BTW, I use the Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K to capture camera video.

    Here's the unity issue tracker.
First import the dlls in prior editons of unity for example 5.5.0f3. Ignore the bugs and reopen the project with newer editons for example 5.6.2f1. Everything works perfect now.
