Providing Feedback Effectively

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to provide a quick note about providing effective feedback to the Mixed Reality team. I am not on the Mixed Reality Team, or even work for Microsoft, but I have been working with them closely, and they do value and listen to our feedback.If you

This forum, while monitored by Microsoft, is not crawling with engineers looking to help us resolve issues. They do come in here and answer what they can, when they can, but I would not post in here and assume that reporting a bug that way will get it in the queue to get fixed.

The best way you can provide feedback for the engineering team is to use the Feedback hub to do so. There is a category for Mixed Reality, and sub-categories as well. When you file an issue in there, it gets pulled into a tracking system, so that's the far more reliable way of providing feedback. It also lets you provide screenshots, and even has an option where you can reproduce the issue with additional tracing turned on to help the engineering team even further.

If you are looking to provide enhancement requests, the feedback hub is also the place to do that. The more info and reasoning you can give, the better.

    I use a French version of Windows, for now all my feedbacks are provided in French, is it better to do them in English?

    My problem with the feedback hub is that I always have the feeling that nobody is reading the feedbacks as long the upvote is very low. It would be nice if there is a feedback from MS like "this feature request is currently in the queue for review."

    So, every item that gets logged gets turned into an item in their bug tracking system. They do some Machine Learning to try and lump like items together, but every item gets tracked and reviewed.

    Basically, if you see this message

    then the item is being tracked in the system. The upvote process is uses to determine if this is an issue that lots of people are running into, and also for trending (for instance, if there are suddenly a lot of upvotes after a new build)

    When take off the immersive headset off , it will go to sleep. But when i awake it, the app i run before quit :( How can i prevent it from sleep?
