Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

Error Code C10121-0 on Acer headset

Gone through all the installs, got mixed reality working - until I plug in my Acer headset on my Samsung laptop. Mixed Reality churns, then says "we couldn't start Windows Mixed Reality". Mixed starts fine on my Acer s7 (though incredibly slow). Could this be video drivers? On startup, mixed reality goes to black screen a couple of times, then stabilizes. I have USB 3.0.

  • Same problem here I have a laptop with 940M core i5 and it was running everything great for the last few weeks. Something changed and now I have the same issue. Should we expect an answer here or is Microsoft only taking input from the telemetry running from our "insider" previews?

  • I have the same problem. Dell XPS15. Previous fast build was working fine. I did saw an update of windows holographic. Might be related tot that..;

    I sent in a feedback last night. Not sure about the reproduction but there is already an issue posted on the feedback by Microsoft about the issue.

  • after latest insider preview (build 16281.rs3_release.170829-1438, I now get "check your display cable". This exact same hardware allowed me to set up Windows mixed reality with the same HMD!

    Hi @pindiespace_lorri
    You will need to update you NVidia drivers through GeForce Experience.
    latest version.
    Basically you cannot even run NVidia 3D Glasses, on the version supplied in 16281 Windows insider. Nothing new been going on for years!
