Failing to take photos with SpectatorView's Calibration App
I have been trying to get Spectator View going, but am getting an error during Calibration.
I have the following hardware now:
GoPro Hero5 Black Camera
BlackMagic Decklink 4K Extreme Capture Card
The GoPro takes seemingly meaningful photos with the CV Calibrator (which was compiled using OpenCV 3.2), but HoloLens takes mysterious JPGs of enormous size (67MB) which cannot be opened due to an invalid JPEG marker type. I also haven't noticed the HoloLens' flashbulb illuminate, as described in the tutorial.
Pressing Enter to indicate that I am done Calibrating (even though it is surely premature to do so) yields an error in the HasChessBoard function of the CalibrationApp. I've attached a screencapture of that error.
Any ideas what's going on here? Please let me know what kind of specific data I might be able to provide in order to make this report more effective.

I've tried using a Canon 6D now, as well as including the Canon EOS SDK (3.6.1) in the Calibration App build: I am getting the same problems.
