Maintain keyboard & mouse input while in Mixed Reality

Hi, when developing in Unity with a WMR headset, I frequently have to take the headset off and use my mouse to explore the Unity scene / game state. Every time I need to do this, I need to press Win+Y to restore keyboard & mouse. How can I prevent from needing to do this dozen of times per day / hundreds per week?

Answers

  • This is such a pain that I'm not going to adopt WMR and instead stick with Vive until this is resolved.

  • If you flip your visor up instead of taking it off it will automatically switch to your keyboard and mouse. Just make sure backgrounding is enabled in the app or otherwise it will go black.

But agree, it does get annoying. Would be nice to just have the option to keep it enabled.
