Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Mixed reality portal setup

At the end of the setup process:

"Before we finish setting up Windows Mixed Reality, you'll need to restart your computer. Then go to Start > Mixed Reality Portal and we'll get you going."

This is a 100% fresh Windows 10 install. The operating system is updated. After that I have installed Chrome, Graphics drivers and then plugged in the Samsung Odyssey HMD.

I have no idea of how to resolve this. The only odd thing I can possible find with this system is that update KB4054517 refuses to install.

  • There is a more efficient way for you to solve this problem is submitting your question in Feedback Hub.
Feedback Hub is a Microsoft Store app, the download link is here.
Mixed Reality Team can fetch application logs directly by Feedback hub. It is quite helpful for solving your problem. It also lets you provide screenshots. The more info you can give, the better.
For more specific operation steps please refer to this question.

  • I'm having this same issue. Did you find a solution??
