Use USB headphones & mic with Windows Mixed Reality

I want to use my Steelseries USB headset and microphone with the VR headset but it appears to only support headphones with the regular audio plug connected directly to the VR headset. How can i use my USB headphones and mic?

The sound works fine through the headset but the microphone doesn't integrate.

    Pretty much.
Windows central has an ok wmr board, I'm sure there was chat on there about gaming headsets.

I did try this out last night although I only have a plantronics Skype headset.

With it set as default device & all other sounds coming through the headset wmr still outputs to the laptop speakers, didn't test the mic though.

This does seem very weird, but hey hopefully some future updates will sort this.
