Anyone know the critera for the free motion controllers from Microsoft?

I preordered an HP Developer MR headset from the Microsoft store and have seen several people get the motion controllers sent to them for free in December, do we need to do anything to get these?

Comments

  • @GCustom Microsoft gifted MR controllers in December to early purchasers/adopters of the headsets who bought prior to the consumer product release. At the time, these people bought the headsets, controllers were not available as yet.

  • I had pre-ordered ordered 3 or 4 sets of the developer edition MR headsets back in July of 2017. I received 2 sets of motion controllers back in December 2017, but wondering if I can get additional sets to match the number of headsets I had pre-ordered.

Who can I contact for this? I am on the phone with the Microsoft Store, and they're totally useless because the guy I'm talking to doesn't seem to understand that I bought the developer edition, and it did not come with motion controllers.

Is there anyone that has a contact for this? I have the Microsoft Store order numbers, and other relevant information.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

  • @Smalldog I do not think they gifted the MR controllers based on the number of headsets you bought, they looked at who were early adopters and provided a set... (you got two?) so that we continue to have the interest to pursue the continued development of the technology. You can purchase individual sets from DELL, check their online store.

  • Hello - we provided controllers to those who had purchased the headset early on indeed when controllers were not yet available. Please send us a note to mrdevrelations@microsoft.com so that we can look into it. Thanks!
