Mixed Reality units needed for QA

Hi,

I am a QA Manager in one of the QA houses and we were looking into the possibility to test Mixed Reality applications. I have reviewed materials available online but still remain with some questions:

  • what type of hardware is needed to be able to perform QA on the app that is still being developed? Is there a way to start such app on the retail version of Mixed Reality Headset or will we need Development Edition of Immersive headset
  • Is it possible to connect the retail unit to Windows Device Portal by enabling the development mode (similarly to Xbox One)?

Thanks,
Adam
