Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Skype Video Call: Sharing the Screen when in MR only shows a black screen.

I have the latest Skype version from the Windows Store and when in Mixed Reality I am presented with the option to share my screen. However, when selecting the "camera" for sharing the screen, the "screen" is just black, as if this "camera" is not working at all.
Tried re-setting the skype app, tried turning on and off the use of the camera from the MR, no changes. It's the Store version of Skype, not the desktop version (tried that too, but there isn't any share screen option at all) and not the "business" version, which was the only result regarding share screen problems that Google turned up.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get around this?

Hi, we have tested your scenario in our environment, and it works well.
    Please:
    1. Check your windows version
    2. Update Graphics card driver to the latest

After that, maybe you can follow our steps to achieve your goal:

    1. Make sure your Mixed Reality Portal works well
    2. Put your MR Portal window on the top of your desktop.
    3. Open your Skype and share your screen in MR headset by motion controller, gamepad or mouse.

If it still does not work, please let us know.

Hi, thanks for the reply. No, it didn't do the job, unfortunately. I made a video with my mobile phone, if you want I could send it to you privately.
