Dell Visor MR Display Stopped Working

The MR headset was working fine and then the display on the headset stopped working. I can see tracking and everything looks good in the 'preview' window on the desktop, but I cannot get the visor display to work again. I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. It was working fine this PC previously. DxDiag and Windows MR PC check results attached.

    I have the same issue.
Connected with USB3/HDMI. Controllers, detection work, but no display in headset.
It only worked for few hours.

  • I'm also having problems with my Dell headset. It turns on for a few minutes then goes black. This is with Windows 1803 (which I just updated to). Also, 1803 seems to want me to press the win+y keys when it starts up now so I do not have access to my physical desktop. Not very good when I need to select something from this. Honestly I think I'll just give up with WMR and get an Oculus Rift.

  • I'm done mucking around here as a windows mixed reality beta tester. Today I uninstalled WMR and WMR for Steam, and packed away my Dell headset/controllers. I'll just use my Oculus Rift w/touch controllers until the next generation of VR system and hardware come our, maybe some time next year.

  • Aside; I have been told (from Dell support) that Dell VR-Ready systems are based on to Oculus Rift. Probably right since I have not had any similar issues with my Rift.
