Controllers are paired but not connecting

Hey,

I just bought WMR Acer headset. The first time setting everything up went smoothly, and I was able to play around in the Mixer Reality Portal for around 20 minutes. Then both of the controllers disappeared.

After that I have tried restarting the computer, factory reset the controllers, replaced new batteries and re-paired them multiple times.

I can get them to add under "Mouse, Keyboard & Pen" and they show up as 'paired' but I cannot get them to actually connect / show up in MRP. I also tried this while changing the USB port used by the Bluetooth stick, to no results.

Any ideas?

  • Hi Silverks,
You might want to try uninstalling the Mixed Reality Portal and then reinstalling it if you have not tried that already. You can do this by going into Settings -> Mixed Reality -> Uninstall
Additionally, you can get the best connection when the Bluetooth USB is plugged into the front of the computer (if it is a desktop) and ensuring that it is plugged into a USB 2.0 slot, as USB 3.0 generates interference on a similar frequency that can interfere with the Bluetooth connection. Hope that helps!

  • I´m having this exact problem from time to time. The only fix is by reinstalling the Mixed Reality Portal.
The Bluetooth is internal on the notebook, so don´t know if its usb3.0 or 2.0. Any way to find out?
