Pinned app missing title
Hi all,
after system update, pinned apps been missing app title except those built by ms. any suggestion how to solve this?

Yea I had this after RS4. I needed to reboot twice to fix it. After the first reboot the pinning would work but I lost the pinned apps after restart. But then after that second restart the pinned applications have worked as expected.
Reboot doesnt work for me
In visual studio check your Package.appxmanifest's Visual Assets tab. Under Display Settings there should be a 'Short Name'. Make sure that is populated.
Also, be sure to delete the application from your device when re-installing it. Sometimes I've had properties linger when I just install on top of the same app.

yes all have short name attached.
apps title are showing just fine before the update. however after updating, all existing and newly built ones from unity are missing the title. apps are working fine internally, just that it will be harder for us to select the correct app if there's no title on the pinned tiles.
