There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

How to make an hololens application 'un-immersive'(running in Win10 hololens home) ?

Whenever I launch my Hololens app, it takes me into an immersive environment, where I can only see objects that I created for this app, but I would like to be able to do other things in parallel, such as opening Edge browser or file browser... So the questions are:

1). Is it possible to run an Hololens application in 'un-immersive' mode? Which mean application can be running directly in Windows 10 hololens 'home', instead of opening up its own world.

2). Is it possible to launch other Hololens applications within my application, such as launching Edge browser?

I assume both are possible, please point out how, Thanks.
