How do you shut down apps?

Anyone know of methods to shut down apps besides using the bloom gesture? (The bloom gesture doesn't seem to get rid of apps, but just background them.) After my kids play with the device, I have to walk around the house and manually "remove window" on many instances of holograms, RoboRaid, and so on.

When developing, I leave App Manager up on my PC and force close applications that way. There just doesn't appear to be a way to officially close an app.

  • Bloom and remove is currently the way to do it. However, if you connect to the device portal or the companion app, there is a task manager there that allows you to force shut down items as well.

  • Ha that's pretty funny, a sign of the times for real. "I thought I told you rotten kids to clean up your holograms when you are done with them - now go to your room!"
