Developing for Hololens on Microsoft Surface
We're considering purchasing portable dev laptops for Hololens.
Q1. Does the Hololens Emulator run adequately on a Surface Pro 4?
If so what are the minimum specs/configuration that are required and what would you suggest?
Q2. If purchasing a Surface Book instead, what are the minimum specs required to run the Emulator without any significant lag?
Thanks,
Alex

I am doing development on a Surface Pro 3, i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB Hard Drive, and have not run into any issues. So I would imagine that either the SP4 or Surface Book that at least matches that should be just fine.

I own a Surface Book i7 8GB RAM and dGPU
Emulator works fine.However...be warned. You won't be able to run Visual Studio, the emulator, and Unity all at once smoothly. 8GB RAM simply isn't enough IMO. If I could exchange my Surface Book for one with more RAM I would.
On my setup, I've got less 1GB to play with, between Unity and Visual Studio. Which isn't a whole lot. It's not impossible to develop, but I feel like I need to juggle my applications around a lot.

Thanks @mtycholaz for your response. Memory was our initial concern as well.
