Typed text gets deleted

Hi,
I am having trouble typing in my username and password to connect to a network. Every time I type something, halfway through, the text I've already typed disappears. How can I fix this? Thanks!

I've seen this before too. I think it happens when it refreshes the list of networks and it is annoying. Especially given how hard it is to type on the device.

@IGITech, @mark_grossnickle you guys might want to look into the Virtual Keyboard that is now available in the Desktop Hololens app and/or the Device Portal where it is called Virtual Input.

I am finding it quite useful when logging onto new networks, especially ones will strong passphrases.

I have the same problem! Virtual Keyboard is useless at this point, since we are not connected to the Network and without being connected to the network you can't use Virtual Keyboard - we need to enter Credentials to access this Network. Classic Chicken/Egg problem...

The official recommendation according to the Known Issues pages appears to be:

During OOBE & Settings, there is a credential timeout of 2 mins. The username/password needs to be entered within 2 mins otherwise the username field will be automatically cleared.

We recommend using a Bluetooth keyboard for entering long passwords.

Since we hat no Bluetooth Keyboard, I had to Copy all few letters typed, so I could add them back when deleted.
