(Locatable) Not all IMFSample contains locating information

I want to do real-time detection on rgb camera and unproject result to holograms. I've tried to implement a custom media sink and retrieve IMFSamples. It works well when location information exists (such as CameraCoordinateSystem and CameraViewTransform), however, it seems not all video samples contains those information (about 50% ~ 80% frames in my app).

I tried to solve this by using latest previous location, and unprojected items become unstable in my scene.

Can anyone explain why not all samples contain location information (https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/holographic/locatable_camera says each frame should contain them)?

  • @Huanlian I'm interested in doing this as well. Are you using Unity or DirectX in the end? Would it be possible to get a sample of your code?
