Color Square appears with Hololens emulator using Parallels 11 for Mac

After the emulator opens up with the nested hyper v enabled, 8 gig's set aside, and 4 processors, it works fine for a little while, but for some reason a square colored cube appears in place of the Hololens store browser, or any browsers.

Any suggestions?

  • Did you build and deploy the template application from Visual Studio? That's what appears to be running in your emulator.

@timg Yes, I've basically followed the steps in this video. Was I not suppose to use the template from Visual Studio?

Here are some of the outPuts right before the square appears:

The thread 0xb84 has exited with code 0 (0x0).
The thread 0xc90 has exited with code 0 (0x0).
The thread 0xa40 has exited with code 0 (0x0).
The thread 0xd70 has exited with code 0 (0x0).

Also, here's the specs from the MacBookPro used; I'm pretty sure I met the system requirements.
