Is Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series compatible for Hololens development?
Hi guys,
I need a favor to ask, can you guys check this link and see whether this laptop is compatible for Hololens Development?

I may be wrong howerver the unit is a win 10 pc itself, you only need ur pc to develop apps and maybe access media content. As long as ur pc meets the req for the software ur golden.

Hi you can check by your self looking at the system requirements section of the install the tool document on MSDN.
So it seem that the laptop you mentioned fulfill the base requirements.
That said, having worked with visual studio since early version in 1994 what I can recommend is a super fast hdd (sdd or of you can 2 ssd raid 0), as much ram as you can and a super powerful gaming gpu.hth

Bill, you may need to go into the BIOS and enable Hyper-V so you can use the HoloLens emulator. Otherwise, though, it all looks good once you upgrade to Windows 10 Pro (not Home). (A good way to check if hyper-v is working is to try the visual studio 2015 phone emulator for android when you get your machine.)
