User Profiles
I am purchasing a device for my office. I know everyone will want to try it, spend time working with it, etc. Since most families - or companies - will want o share the experience easily, I was wondering if there will be support for multiple profiles in the HoloLens and, just as important, support for logging in via AzureAD.
In future iterations, I'd love the device to use a retina scanner like the Windows Phones so that when the HoloLens is placed on someone's head it knows who they are and can adjust, vs when someone is a guest and it has to have them calibrate. Even better would be a guest mode that does the retina scan and can still retain the optical setting even without creating a full profile (we have plans for building an app that will utilize the kiosk mode type setting be we can envision the users to come back multiple times and never need to actually log in).

I'm not sure if there is anything automatically built in, however one idea is that there is to use the Automatic IPD process that occurs. When a person first uses the device their IPD must be measured, you could potentially use this value along with voice recognition (thru speak recognition) to provide a way to keep track of different users i.e. user profile.
Just a thought.

At this point in time, there appears to be one profile. There is no "other users" on settings -> accounts. The Windows Store HoloLens companion app does not let you manage IPD directly either. Though it's apparent that functionality is available somewhere. The API to get and set IPD exists given the HoloLens team can push a particular value into a unit.

Shouldn't be too hard to set up a web/phone/whatever app that could fetch the IPD of the current user once they've gone through calibration once, then use the app to push the IPD back to the hololens the next time that person wants another turn.
Heh. I'm playing with the device, woefully behind on reading the docs and found the Store app before I found the portal. It should be dead simple to whip up a 2D app that has a list of names and associated IPDs that can update the IPD from inside the HoloLens, meanwhile it's easy enough to open the portal using edge from inside the HoloLens.
