Holograms 240 - Chapter 3 - Shared Coordinates - Can't place energyhub

edited October 2016 in Questions And Answers

Hello,
I am stuck on Chapter 3 - Shared Coordinates. I follow instructions exactly. I am unable to create the world anchor and thus cannot place the energyhub. I have two HoloLens', neither of them are able to place the hub. It just keeps gazing around and the air click never works. The tutorial video says you need to gaze around for a little while to establish world anchor. Any ideas?

I've done the same thing according to Tutorial but nothing works: can't place energyhub. Could you and anyone help me how to work?

I have two HoloLens. According to the tutorial, I changed server address ..***.190 (IPv4 of HoLoLens #1) and deployed the app to both of them and nothing works. Do I need to select HoloToolkit-Sharing-240 menu of unity?

For me, I have a slightly different issue. I could place the EnergyHub using the first Hololens and the second one could join in and see the same hologram successfully. This was done in my office. The app was deployed to both hololens from the same PC using the same IP address on the sharing service.

The problem is when I moved to a different office 5-6 meters away, I couldn't place the energy hub. It seems the anchor could not be established and uploaded to the server. When I returned to my PC, I could see both devices logging in to the sharing service but don't know why the anchor couldn't be uploaded.

    Anyone has the similar issue?
