  • emulator installs into your local appdata directory, im not really sure you can change it. 2. the error suggests you have a lock on something the installer needs to finish installing, which could be security related. not enough permissions maybe? or read only location?

    try running install as admin.

I wonder if it's a region + culture encoding issue in the installer or packaging. Do you have another system to install it on which has the English-US "en-US" region and culture language pack install of Windows 10?

Also are you on at least windows 10 Pro and above?

I too, cannot install the emulator. It worked on one system, but on this one, I get "This app can't run on your PC". When I run as admin from CMD prompt and close the error message, it returns "Access is denied". Both systems are Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 1511 with all updates. Working one is an intel, non-working is AMD. Both have virtualization on and have Hyper-V installed

Figured it out. It cannot be installed from a USB 3.0 stick for some reason. I coppied it to a local disk, and it installed fine.
