The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.
For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.
If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.
And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

What is the best way to do image registration within Hololens for real world objects?
I am fairly new to HoloLens development and am attempting to overlay a 3D model into a real world object. What would be the best way to do the same. I have found a video on youtube doing a similar(fairly more complex) application of the same using Kinect https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvP4cHfUD5g It would be great to… -
object recognition
can we determine who an actor is, like Kinect can for Xbox One as an example? can we recognize a 'blob shaped such a way' as a rough estimation of a person - that cylindrical thing with these protusions is 'bill' - if not. Looks like we can 'find a wall', can we 'find a bill'? can we source sound and 'cheat' - that's bill… -
Raw input data : Depth frames
Hi, * Will it be possible to access camera input data (range images)? (I would not see why it would be impossible, but haven't found this information in the current documentation) * The emulator let us enter input such as user input ,etc. but it does not seem to have a way to emulate world's surface or am I wrong? Will it… -

That is a separate system of camera's and Kinect sensors that are placed around the person. The HoloLens is the medium for viewing the… -

Holocamera!!
Hello, QUESTION: How as a developer can I make one of these HoloCameras? In all the Hololens live demo videos, like keynotes and TED talks there is always a DSLR camera attached to a Kinect One or Hololens or other device that captures the Holoexperience of the Hololens user. You can see that camera here in theis video… -
Hololens Sharing Scripts
I'm trying to modify the sharing scripts so that I can send Kinect data on a PC to the Hololens, but I am not able to run the Holotoolkit sharing service and run a Unity program on the desktop at the same time. I get an error such as: Error: SharingService [....\Source\Common\Private\XSocketManagerImpl.cpp (613)]: Failed…
