Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Pairing HL device over USB in Unity

I'd like to be able to deploy an appx to the device entirely from within Unity. Currently, I can build a sln from within Unity, but I then have to open that sln (the first time at least) in VS, and build and deploy to device. If the device isn't paired with my PC, VS will bring up a pop-up asking me to enter the pairing number I get from the device. After that pairing I, I can directly launch from the Toolkit build window in Unity (I get an error if I try to launch without pairing first in VS). I'd like to be able to this all within Unity. Is there a way to trigger that pairing from the Unity editor? I'm assuming it'd be new functionality, but it seems like it should be doable.

    @adamruja,
    I do not believe this functionality is currently part of the Mixed Reality Toolkit. Please file an issue here and we can track and investigate your request.

    Thanks!
    David
