Having issues with Holograms 240, Part 3

I've been working through the tutorial sections for a bit, but I ran into an issue with connecting the Hololens to the server...

Error: SharingService [....\Source\Common\Private\XSocketManagerImpl.cpp (294)]: Received message from 10.142.36.171 with no associated socket
SharingService: Session Default: Handshake from unknown machine failed with error 1

I've started from scratch 3 times and run through the instructions, but I keep hitting the same error. Anyone have an idea about what's going wrong here?

@jpaterson do you see this error in the console window or Unity?

    Few things to try:
    1. Make sure you have the latest code from the academy.
    2. When you did HoloToolkit -> Launch Sharing service ensure you allow firewall access if it prompts to.
    3. Enter the correct IPv4 address of your PC in the Server Address.
    4. Alternately you can also try this from the HoloToolkit-Unity Sharing test scene.

I'm having the same issue. Was there a fix?

    neerajwadhwa,

I'm having a hard time to make this work. Do I need to run Launch Sharing service on PC before executing HoloLens app? I have two HoloLens. Can I use one IP address one of two HoloLens as a server IP address? Or I always need a PC to run Launch Sharing service first?
