Best Apps for Demonstrating the Strengths of the Hololens?
I've just started with Hololens development and currently a bit underwhelmed. (Oculus / HTC Vive dev here.) I'm trying to figure out how I can get the most out of it. What do people recommend as excellent apps on the Hololens, that I can try out and get a feel for what its best use cases are?

The Microsoft published experiences are a good place to start. They'll show what is possible with the HoloLens, specifically: Fragments, HoloTour, HoloStudio, and RoboRaid. You should also try the CaseWestern app, HoloAnatomy (good demo of where educational apps can go).
Please keep in mind that this is a developer release, so most of the apps being published to the store today are rough (beta, at best) experiences. We encourage developers to publish early so they understand the process and can also get feedback from the community on their apps. My two favorite developer apps right now, are: Galaxy Shield BETA, and HoloTankz.
