Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Edge Broswer

Out of the box I could go in to the advanced settings and disable Popup Blocking in the Edge Browser.

During our development and trials we had to reset the hardware and now the option is no longer available. Was there an update that we missed, possibly between the time we had the option to disable popup blocking and resetting the device, that removed this feature?

We're at a stand still now with our work because we lost this ability to turn this off. Is there a way around it that anybody know of or are we SoL until a future update?

    @OmegaTron75,
    I filed this as a bug via the Feedback Hub. The option is definitely missing from Edge, and that seems like a regression. I'm sorry this is a blocker for your team, as I do not know of another way to enable this. I hope it can be resolved soon. Thanks for reporting the issue!

    Hi @OmegaTron75,
    This issue was closed as 'by design' with the following explanation:
    "We don't want to allow the user to disable blocking pop ups, because there's unwanted behavior/complex questions about where/how popups should appear and be placed."

    I would suggest that you open a new bug or feature request via the feedback hub (and anyone else who might be blocked by this!). The more requests we get from the external community to fix this issue, the more likely that it will get the proper attention.

    Am I paraphrasing this correctly: "We dont want users to disable pop-ups because they don't work"? Nutty.
