Why Unity?
Hello there!!!
I am just wondering, why use Unity for the HoloLens.
Of all the other Engines out there, Unity is the lucky one?
I am just curious that's all, because it is interesting.

Unity is an excellent choice to bring .Net (C#) developers into the fold of game development, which is needed in a sense for HoloLens development. More developers means a better probability of more apps, albeit, not necessarily good apps, but definitely more. In order for HL to succeed, the platform needs to have a ton of apps. Plus, since the apps are UWP, if developed correctly these apps can spawn to other Windows 10 devices, not just the HL.
With that being said, a lot of the other Engines only support C++, html and JavaScript with a fairly large learning curve. Out of the .Net 3D Game engine support Unity appears to be the most mature, with the largest developer base.
So I'd say why not...
I'm a supported of UE but it's for another reason.
