Hi There,
How will the HoloLens be able to interface with SharePoint? What API options are available so that HoloLens apps (3D) can be connected to SQL data pushed through a SQL dataview to a SharePoint list (such as REST API)? How will performance be?
I would imagine you can create views of data say from Excel workbooks stored in a SP document library and convert as HTML tables and plug into Unity.
Can HoloLens apps interface with SharePoint's client object model?

The APIs are there.. but I have not seen any Proof of concepts yet..
I'd also like to see the ability to preview the documents through Office web Apps in the Hololens interface..
Hi @JamesM, have you tried installing the Office Apps such as Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint? They are 2D versions and you can connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to your HoloLens device. I do not see much value for an end user using the HoloLens as the hardware for creating/ modifying Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint files. Maybe for quickly referencing Office App files stored within a document library?
I see novelty value with data visualization/ graphical analysis from stored data within a SharePoint list or a SQL database if the dashboard is configured through a robust UI.
