Xbox One Controller Support

I've heard that HoloLens will support standard Bluetooth HID game pads.

I would very much like to see support for Xbox One gamepads in the consumer edition. My understanding is that requires a special chip; it would be greatly worth it. In fact, it seems very odd to me that the Oculus comes with an Xbox controller but the HoloLens doesn't support it. Please make that right!!!

I'm not sure if it's ready yet, but they've demoed the xbox remote streaming using a xbox one controller.

Really? That's awesome... I would have assumed it would need the adaptor dongle like normal PCs. Interesting, indeed...

You can do Xbox remote streaming using a controller that is paired with your Xbox, and the range on those things is pretty good, so technically it already works as demoed.

It's not an indication that the HL will support Xbox controllers or any controller anytime soon (it will currently pair with any generic BT controller, even the PS4 controller, but none of them actually work).

There's been speculation that since the new Xbox One controller which was announced at E3 also supports Bluetooth (so that you can use it on a PC without the dongle), it could work with HoloLens, too, but there hasn't even been a hint of that officially.

There's a certain undeniable logic to it, but MS hasn't said anything yet.

You can stream data from several XBox controllers from a PC over WiFi.
