The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.
There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.
The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.
For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.
If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.
And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.
Does Microsoft support hololens developers in some way besides this forum?
For instance, I'd like to know if an mrc photo can be taken when an mrc video is in progress without hindering the video.
Asking under questions and answer, multiple attempts, has not yielded results.
What's a link or procedure to follow to initiate contact with Microsoft in order to get answers to very basic questions like this one?

In terms of procedures:
1. Asking in the forums is a good way. We have members of the team that try to answer in areas they are familiar with (and other HoloLens developers are also around to help).
2. Submit any issues/bugs/suggestions via the Feedback Hub app.As for the "mrc photo during mrc video", I just added some info to the other threads. I also reached out internally to get a better answer for one of them.

But there is not direct support where I can open a case and expect to get an answer?
Wondering how I can handle the situation where clients are demanding results, and my only avenue to resolve some technical issue block is to depend upon this forum.
