Holographic Remoting Player: Unable to run sample code
Hi, I've downloaded the Remoting Player sample code but when running the Desktop or UWP sample it throws a Patform:NotImplementedException in the check IsPerceptionSimulationSupported (HolographicStreamerHelpers.h line 606). Any recommendation on how to fix this?
Thanks

Hi @YvesP,
Both of those samples require that you set your HoloLens IPAddress in code, whereas, the UWPXaml sample will allow you to enter it in the UI.Start the remoting player app on your HoloLens. This will display the IPAddress that you'll need when connecting to the device.
In RemotingHostSampleDesktop.cpp (~line 388), set the ipAddress variable of the main function to your HoloLens IPAddress.
In RemotingHostSampleUWP.cpp (~line 223), set m_ipAddress to be your HoloLens IPAddress in the ConnectToRemoteDevice function.
You should then be able to rebuild and connect to your HoloLens when you run the sample.

Sorry for coming back to you so late. To start with I need to upgrade the W10 OS system of my dev box to the latest version since the IsPerceptionSimulation API was only added recently. But since this version is not approved by our IT department yet I'll have to find a way to get this done in an alternative way (e.g. VM)
Thanks for the support
