Recognizing a Spatial Map

Working in Unity 5.5 and wondering if there is a way through UWP or HolotoolKit to know the spatial map I'm currently in. I know HoloLens itself stores rooms and I want to be able to access my current room.

I looked at world anchors and they seem good for storing locations but they don't really relate to a specific room from any of the documentation I've read.
