Deploy UWP/Appx on Hololens using Windows device portal

Hi,
We are trying to deploy a windows desktop app (setUp.exe) on hololens by converting it to .appx using desktop app converter. But, we are blocked with the following error:
"Failure reason: Failed to start deployment. Failure text: A Prerequisite for an install could not be satisfied. (0x80073cfd)"
we don't have access to the source code for app. Hence, we are just trying to convert exe to UWP (successful) and deploy to Hololens (error).
Converted application is running fine on windows desktop.
Please help!!!
