3D display of captured video
We know that the Hololens is fully capable of producing 3D representations of digitally-produced elements. Is there a way to produce a 3D representation of video recorded elements? For example, imagine if we had a teacher in a clinical rehabilitation setting that we had recorded treating a patient, and we wanted to allow the Hololens wearer to walk around the subject to view the treatment lesson from various angles.

Sure, this is totally possible. See "Actiongram" in the store for a good example of this sort of 3d video playback. For more information on how that content is created:

To the best of my knowledge Microsoft hasn't open sourced the tools needed on the capture side of things, or the code required for playback.
