How to force the simulated motion controller to show up ?

Hello all,

I am using the bluetooth xbox gamepad, MR portal in simulation mode.
Using the gamepad, I can control the body/head position and orientation fine.

However, sometimes I don't see the motion controller on the screen. On the 'for developer's panel on the left, I can see that the MR portal is reading the left controller's input for position (xyz) and orientation (yaw/pith/roll) as I move the sticks around with the left bumper pressed. It's just that I don't see the controller on the screen. Is there are way to explicitly force it to show up ?
Thanks
